About two months ago I had got a call from Linda at Mercy Hospital. Linda was the nurse that was with us during the birth of Calvin. She had told me that The Repository was doing a story on the origination "As I lay me down to sleep." It is an organization that has photographers donate their time to come take pictures at the hospital for families that have lost a child. Although we had a friend take our pictures they still wanted to interview us.
The Repository came to our house one day and took pictures of us holding our frame of Calvin's pictures, and of our scrapbook that friends put together for us. It was so great to be able to share our story about our sweet boy. The journalist told us she would call us when it was going to be in the paper...time went on and we never heard. I just figured they weren't going to publish it.
Much to my surprise Sunday morning it was on the front page! A picture of us and of course I'm crying..all of the article was online. We are blessed by all the love we still receive from people almost 2 1/2 years later. We thank God that we had this trial to go through even when we don't understand why. I am amazed how God is still using us!

Hello! I am in awe of God right now! I found your blog on Catherine Marx's blog. I saw that you commented and I happened to click your name and get to your profile...once I saw your picture my jaw dropped! I am Nicki Deem...my husband and I were in the paper with you! :) I cannot believe I found you! :) I'm just so happy! haha :) My husband and I are sooo sooo sorry for your loss...all of your little boys are so adorable. We will continue to pray for you and your family for complete healing and more joy than you can handle! I just think it's so cool that I found you... :)

I'm glad you found my blog! After you were in the paper I looked up your blog. We are so sorry for you loss. If you ever need to talk know that I am here..it is not an easy thing but so thankful we can rely on God for our strength! We will be praying for you guys also!
