Grace Kids Co-op

I am a little behind on things now that Josh is taking the computer to work everyday. This was Canaan's first day of school(Sept 11). The co-op we are going to meets at the church and I along with another mom are teaching the two's class. We meet every other Tuesday. Canaan really enjoys it! We are learning about our colors and shapes this year.

AWANA

Hard to believe that Canaan is old enough to start our AWANA program at church!! Josh and I went through it when we were younger, so it is fun to see Canaan going. The group that he is in is called Puggles. Thanks to the hand me down shirt from Elliott we were able to get our first picture all dressed up!!

*you are finally crawling the right way
*pull yourself up on the couch and then walk the whole length holding on
*stands up a few seconds by himself
*you still have no teeth
*you like to give kisses of slobber
*you love playing in the dog's water(I clean up a lot of messes)
*gives high-fives
*you have SO much energy(I'm tired)
*still not napping a lot-but lately you have been sleeping till 8 or after!! yay!
*you love your food(veggies, fruits, meats--there is not one thing you don't like)
*you love puffs(so does brother)
*started mixing real milk into your bottles to start weening you off formula

Last Saturday we took a ride up to Headlands Beach in Mentor. Although it was cloudy and a little chilly we still had a great time!

We went on the Cuyahoga Scenic Railroad a couple weeks ago. It was fun doing something different this summer. The ride started in Canton, went up to Akron and then came back. Canaan had lots of fun since he is starting to love trains. It was a fun afternoon with the whole family.

8 months

Hard to believe you are already 8 months old. What a joy you have been to watch grow and do new things.

Things you are doing:
*army crawl EVERYWHERE--you sometimes crawl the real way but you are faster doing the army.
*you say mama, dada and you love to scream
*you are starting to wave
*you pull yourself up on everything and are so proud of yourself
*you have no teeth yet
*you love to eat and you have had a wide variety of foods
*you drink 7oz bottles every 4 hours
*you don't really like to take long naps, but you sleep 8:30-7:30 every night(mommy wishes you would sleep till 8!!)
*you have some crazy hair but mommy doesn't want to cut it yet--grandma calls you her little Einstein.

I have wanted to do something with just Canaan this summer so I signed us up for a story time. Thanks to my mom who watches Gideon so I can just focus on Canaan! He loves his class. The first one we went to was about super heros. Although he had no idea what a super hero was he still had fun. They sing a couple songs, read 2 stories, and then do a craft. The class is only 30 minutes. Here was his craft he made that I'm surprised he even wanted to wear it since he is weird about stuff on his face & head.
