library class

I have wanted to do something with just Canaan this summer so I signed us up for a story time. Thanks to my mom who watches Gideon so I can just focus on Canaan! He loves his class. The first one we went to was about super heros. Although he had no idea what a super hero was he still had fun. They sing a couple songs, read 2 stories, and then do a craft. The class is only 30 minutes. Here was his craft he made that I'm surprised he even wanted to wear it since he is weird about stuff on his face & head.

Last Friday and Saturday we were able to make a trip to Pittsburgh to visit our friends Ryan & Lizz. They have a son Benjamin that is just 2 weeks older then Canaan. We took a trip to the Children's Museum Saturday and the boys had a blast!

 We drove home after dinner Saturday and Canaan didn't nap all day so he crashed within 10 minutes of leaving their house...sweet boy!

Every year Chick-fil-a has "cow day." If you go dressed up you get a free meal. Lets just say we love to participate!!  Here are my little cows.

So last Monday(9th) we were able to go get a tour at the blimp base. Oh boy did we have SO much fun. Canaan loves the blimp and always calls it "bimp." Here are some pictures of our fun!

july 4th

This year mom and I decided to do the July 4th race. We walked the 2 mile and we will do it next year hopefully as a family. This year they broke the record with 3,002 runners/walkers. The route went right past our house so it was fun having Canaan watch us as we walked by.

Thanks to Darby for coming up and watching the boys for me since Josh left that morning to go out of town!  What would I do without you!?

McKinley Museum

One Saturday we were trying to figure out what to do since it was SO hot we did not want to go outside. Josh thought of the McKinley Museum, we both have not been there since we were in school. It was more fun then we thought it was going to be--Canaan even had fun!!
