17 months

Really!?!? 17 months where did that time go? Canaan is growing more and more each day. I love watching him and he makes me smile and laugh everyday! Here is what Canaan bear is up to:

*working on 3 eye teeth
*loves holding Gideon
*words he says: dada, mama, hi, house, dude, purple, bye bye, boom
*loves music and dancing
*becoming a big helper--loves throwing things in the trash can
*loves when daddy comes home-he gets so excited and it makes Josh feel good!
*still sleeps really good between 8-8:30p.m. until 8:30-9a.m.
*gets SO excited when he see's Amelia-all she has to do is smile at him and he goes NUTS!

The Repository

About two months ago I had got a call from Linda at Mercy Hospital. Linda was the nurse that was with us during the birth of Calvin. She had told me that The Repository was doing a story on the origination "As I lay me down to sleep." It is an organization that has photographers donate their time to come take pictures at the hospital for families that have lost a child. Although we had a friend take our pictures they still wanted to interview us.

The Repository came to our house one day and took pictures of us holding our frame of Calvin's pictures, and of our scrapbook that friends put together for us. It was so great to be able to share our story about our sweet boy. The journalist told us she would call us when it was going to be in the paper...time went on and we never heard. I just figured they weren't going to publish it.

Much to my surprise Sunday morning it was on the front page! A picture of us and of course I'm crying..all of the article was online. We are blessed by all the love we still receive from people almost 2 1/2 years later. We thank God that we had this trial to go through even when we don't understand why. I am amazed how God is still using us!

3 months

 Everyday is so much fun just watching Gideon grow. Here is what he is doing and continuing to do:

*sleeps from 10-8:30 on his belly
*finally sleeping in the bassinet in our room
*loves to smile
*belly laughed last night (2.22.12) for the first time

Monday was Josh's birthday! Last year I took a picture of Canaan with a Happy Birthday sign. I tried to do it again this year. It was a little harder since Canaan wanted to move around I ended up giving up.

Helping mommy

Canaan loves helping me clean! It is amazing how much he catches on to what I'm doing.

Sunshine

You wouldn't believe that it is the middle of winter here in Ohio!! We were able to spend a couple days playing outside and going for a walk. It was so nice being able to get outside for a little bit.
